Book Swap!

The last week of school all students in K-5 had the opportunity to visit the Book Swap. I organize this event each year to get books into the hands of all kids to jump-start their summer reading. Thanks to all the parents who donated books!! 

Each student selected 4-6 books and also received a summer reading bag to hold their treasures. Inside the bag I included information from the Durham County Library about their summer reading program and all the free activities offered for families this summer; my summer reading activity cards; and a few other reading incentives. I hope this will help encourage all of our families to make reading a priority this summer!!
