An exciting addition to our technology equipment this year is the purchase of 2 Chromebooks carts. Students in 4th and 5th grade have already been trained on the use of these carts and 2nd/3rd grades will be trained soon. These trainings provided a good opportunity for me to discuss what it means to be a responsible digital citizen. I began the discussion by stressing the importance of protecting ones private information online. We are so grateful for these new devices and the learning that will take place because of them!

Welcome back, Learners!
All students visited the Media Center for an orientation in the past few weeks. A few of the activities included a scavenger hunt, digital citizenship review, book care talks, and creating skits to show our Manatee Manners. Check out a few pictures from those visits!
Open House
It was wonderful to see so many families at our Open House the week before school started. It's going to be an exciting year of learning in the Media Center!
Help is always appreciated in the Media Center. If you are interested in volunteering your time to reshelve books, help with morning check out, or assist with other library tasks, please contact me:
